<p>We’re not sure how this one eluded us, but vacation property rental company HomeAway has put Chevy Chase, Beverly D’Angelo and Gary Schneider’s <a title="'Family Truckster' lives, thanks to Wheaton man" href="http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=356864">replica Family Truckster</a> together for a Superbowl ad and associated short film.</p>
<p>According to their press releases, HomeAway has developed a 15-minute short film with the Griswolds, which will go live on their website on February 7. The ad campaign will include the movie, original<em> Family Vacation</em> clips, contests and Wagon Queen-themed games. HomeAway also plans on touring their new Truckster nationwide.</p>
<p>But for now, they have the ad up, as well as a well-produced but meaningless <a title="HomeAway Griswolds Super Bowl Commercial Preview" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0_9q9EgoYQ&feature=player_embedded">“making of” advertorial</a>. We’ll look forward to the full film on Sunday; for now, enjoy the preview. It’s Chevy’s best work since <a title="Cola Turka New York'ta Bir Morning" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tW3PQ0PC3Xw">Cola Turka</a> (which has him driving another kickass wagon in <a title="Cola Turka New York'ta Bir Morning II" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pd6A5AOjkP0&feature=related">part II</a>, incidentally. Sweet ’stache.).</p>
