The finish is Audi Amulet Red with black interior. We like the combination of period Panasports with Falken Azeni performance tread pattern. The suspension has been upgraded with Koni shocks, front sway bar, and competition springs. The gauges are from a later Datsun 2000 and calibrated to work with the Miata motor. We guessed that the injection would be half the reason to upgrade to a modern engine, but this builder thought otherwise. A custom header feeds a stainless Magnaflow exhaust. In stock form, the Miata unit offers 36hp more than the original Datsun motor, certainly enough to feel quite a difference in the seat of your pants. This car’s output is not documented in the listing. This car’s reliable Miata drivetrain makes it a classic that should be smooth, powerful, and reliable. This unusual engine choice will also scare away many of the Datsun purists, so it might leave the door open for a sweetheart deal if the seller is not overly attached.
